The purpose of this sorority shall be advanced through the National Convention, the National Council, and the college and alumnae chapters."

History

In 1902, six women came together to build a sisterhood founded on their common values of purity, charity, and loving kindness, which they envisioned would last for generations. Those six women, Alfa Lloyd, Mary Collins, Anna Keen, Julia Bishop, Mabelle Minton and Anne Simmons, students at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, came together and established themselves as the sisters of Delta Zeta. Since its founding, Delta Zeta has strived to uphold those high standards of moral, social, and intellectual worth that were established by our six founders. Delta Zeta has grown into a sisterhood that has spread all over the United States and Canada with 160 Chapters, currently more than 14,000 undergraduate members, and over 240,000 alumnae.

The University of Idaho

In Fall 2010, Delta Zeta was founded at the University of Idaho with wonderful group of founding members who set the standard for our chapter. Today, the Pi Kappa chapter is one of ten National Panhellenic Council groups at Idaho. Delta Zetas are proud to be members of the Vandals community.

This year, we are looking forward to so many activities. We are excited to grow our sisterhood with new members and participate in a range of sorority events. However, we are all thrilled to watch the construction of our new house in progress! In August 2015, we will have a new place to call home!

As Vandals, we enjoy supporting fall sports, like football and basketball. We also take pride in being involved in our community. Every member is involved in an organization outside of Delta Zeta. Below are a few of the organizations in which Delta Zetas are involved:
